Prose in Picture is an online photography event in which the participants have to submit a photograph on the theme “How Quarantine altered our lives”.

Riddle Room:

Riddle Room is an online riddle solving event where the riddles will test participant’s sheer knowledge of chemistry. The participants have to solve 10 riddles and the most accurate answer with the fastest response is declared as winner.

Spill the Ink:

Spill the Ink is an online Article and Poetry/Caption writing event on general engineering topics. The topics for Article writing are Pollution and Technology, jabbed in all skills, master of none ft. Engineers and A women engineering student. The topics for Poetry/Caption writing are Engineering Myths, Engineering: Making of a philosopher and Engineers: Artists of their kind.

Poster Presentation – AdChE 2020

Department of Chemical Engineering, UPES, Dehradun has organized an “International Conference on Advances in Chemical Engineering – AdChE 2020” held in UPES, Dehradun from 5-7th February, 2020. The conference comprised with Distinguished Guest Lectures, Paper Presentations and Poster Presentations. IIChE UPES Student Chapter in Collaboration with AdChE -2020 has organized the “Poster Presentation” which witnessed a huge number of participants all over the nation.

OLD AGE HOME VISIT:

It was an event held under the banner of CSR Committee of IIChE UPES Student Chapter in collaboration with Lazarus Performing Arts, in which the volunteers havevisited the Prem Dham Old age Home. Many children left their parents in the Old Age Home because they think that they have become successful on their own and their parents are useless for them. And in the old age home, many elders were lonely and depressed because they were not with their children which is severely affecting their health, so we went there to spend a beautiful day with them as their children to spread joys and happiness with them.

CRAFTOHOLIC:

It was a fun event that was held under the banner of IIChE UPES Student Chapter in collaboration with Lazarus Performing Arts. Inthis event the participants can show case their Art and Craft Skills. This event was organized in two rounds. In thefirst-round participants were asked to showcase their art skills and In the Second round, were asked to showcase craft or draw your ideas. It stimulates imagination, reduces stress, and boosts problem-solving skills.

CLASH OF TONES:

It was the fun event that was organized under the banner of IIChE UPES Student Chapter in Collaboration with Lazarus Performing Arts. This event was a Musical event. Music is very important for life because it is believed that “Without Music, Life Would Be A Mistake”. Music not only makes our life rhythmic but also increases our retention power. This event was a three-round event. In the first round the participants were asked to answer few questions that were based on some Legendary singers, the round two was an Audio-Visual where the participants were asked to identify the singers and song’s name and theround three was a rapid-fire round.

MYSTERYPIDIA:

The mystery is something that cannot be explained or understand, but people try to understand it. So, for this IIChE UPES Student Chapter in collaboration with Lazarus Performing Arts has conducted a fun event under the title of “Mysterypidia”. This event was of two rounds, In the first round the participants were given some riddles to solve and The Second round they were asked to solve ‘A Murder Mystery’ and to find the Murderer.

TABLE- TENNIS FRENZY:

It was the sports event organized by IIChE UPES Student Chapter in collaboration with Lazarus Performing Arts. In this event, the participants had played table tennis according to the professional table tennis rules. There were both men’s and women’s singles and doubles as well as mix doubles. Students participated individually as well as in a group of two. A desk was set up in a WIFI zone for students to get registered.

DONATION DRIVE:

Every year IIChE UPES student Chapter carries out donation drive. And this year again under the banner of CSR Committee, the drive was organized on November 24, 2019 at Rajkiya Purva Prathmik Vidyalaya. We should be thankful to the almighty God for giving us such good parents that can fulfill our requirements, but some are deprived from their parents. So, we collected some items like Money, Clothes, Blankets and other Stationary items to distribute them among the children and to bring smile on their faces. It is believed that “Happiness Is When You Experience Joy by Bringing Smile on Other’s Face”

INTERN- TALK:

To give insight into real case scenarios and to get a clear picture of Industry IIChE UPES Student Chapter organized “Intern Talk “on 13th Novemver,2019.Intern talk is an ‘Interactive Session’ which is conducted every year to enlighten the minds and to make them aware of the challenges that they have to face in their future. It helped students to learn by listening to those seniors who had got their internships at very good companies. The Speakers were Hemendra Dave, Devraja Devnarayan, and Vishal Manikandan. The speakers told us about how they got their internships and their experience out there and they also cleared doubts that how academic internship is different from the industrial internship.

SAFAIGIRI:

On the Auspicious Day of Gandhi Jayanti i.e. on 2nd October, 2019 a cleanliness drive was carried out. In Year 2014,Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has started Swachh Bharat Mission in the memory of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi which ends on 2nd October, 2019. Gandhiji always focuses on how important is cleaning for life. Thisevent was happened by collaborating with Lazarus, ICFDR NGO, Infinity Space Club, FIPI, ACM, ICEEE, and NSS which was coordinated by Book Your Event. This event was started from UPES Bidholi college gate at around 9:00 am and it all ended at around noon at Bishanpur. On the Way from UPES Bidholi College Gate toBishanpur we all cleaned roads by picking up garbages, polythenes, plastic bottles. At the end all the participants also got refreshments.

BINGE-WATCHER:

It was the very first event that was held under the bannerof IIChE UPES Student Chapter for the July- December term. It was a fun event and was mainly organized for the first-yearstudents. The main aim of the event was to check your retention power from TV series. This event was carried out in two rounds. The first round was a pen- paper quiz and the second round werethe audio – visual round.
